Mindful Calligraphy

Thousands of years ago in China, calligraphy and painting were seen as paths of contemplation and self-cultivation. When Chan Buddhism traveled to Japan and evolved into Zen, the brush practice also transformed, becoming more spontaneous, playful, and expressive of our inner world. I share this lineage of mindful art workshops I host online and in-person. Sign up for my newsletter to get notified when new dates are posted.

Breathwork

Breathwork is one of the practices I go to for insights and wisdom about life challenges. This practice opens a space to listen to wisdom we can't tune into in our day-to-day.

At Luminous Breathwork, I share a practice grounded in Chan wisdom and informed by modern psychology. It’s a gentle yet powerful way to clear what clouds the mind and reconnect with your natural clarity. Learn more and experience it for yourself at www.luminousbreathwork.com.

I built my first website in 1997, wandered into virtual reality in 2002, and designed my first AI applications in 2013—and each moment felt like science fiction come to life. I went on to spend two decades in design and technology, along with a few advanced degrees exploring how emerging technologies can help rather than harm. These days, I occasionally consult on design and AI transformation projects that keep that spirit of curiosity alive.
